A Journey Through Kandy’s Wild Soundscapes

During our time in Kandy, we ventured into a nearby forest to record the sounds of a secluded waterfall. It was a hot and humid day in April, and as we followed a narrow path, we recorded the gentle rush of the river below, intertwined with the calls of birds and the rhythmic buzz of cicadas. The area was nearly empty, allowing us to record without any interruptions from passing tourists or distant airplanes.

When we finally reached the waterfall, its roar was so powerful that it nearly drowned out the surrounding wildlife, creating a rich, immersive soundscape. Whether you need the pure, thunderous white noise of cascading water or a tranquil mix of jungle ambiance with cicadas, birds, and flowing streams, this sound library offers a perfect blend of Sri Lanka’s natural beauty.
