A license agreement made for you and your small company
The Free to Use Sounds End User License Agreement
We are pleased to grant you a license for the All In One Bundle, VR Sound Library, and any sound libraries purchased on Bandcamp and Gumroad. This license is valid whether for individual use or for a company with a maximum of 5 employees.
Our licensing model streamlines the process by offering a single, comprehensive license suitable for small radio stations, small TV stations, small post-production studios, and other types of small organizations. This means you no longer need to procure separate licenses for different users within your organization*
Grant of License
Upon purchasing any of the mentioned sound effect libraries, Free To Use Sounds grants you (the Licensee) a non-exclusive, worldwide, and royalty-free license to use any and all sound effects outlined in this agreement.
Rights Granted
The license agreement grants the following rights to the Licensee:
Use of the licensed sound effects on an unlimited number of projects for their lifetime.
Use of the licensed sound effects for both personal and commercial projects without attribution to Free To Use Sounds.
Use of the licensed sound effects for synchronization in audio and visual projects such as films, television, radio, documentaries, commercials, video games, podcasts, audio dramas, applications, blogs and websites, school and university projects (especially for audio students), prisons, concerts, theater, live events, and prototype projects.
Royalty-free use of the licensed sound effects for any musical compositions.
At Free To Use Sounds, we provide our licensees with the unique ability to modify and create derivative works from our licensed sound effects and sell them without any attribution or royalties to us. However, we strictly prohibit the sale of our original sounds in their unmodified form.**
Restrictions
Licensee may not sell any of the licensed sound effects in their original form for commercial gain or claim ownership.
Licensee may not upload any of the licensed sound effects in their original form and/or as standalone product as whole or in parts to any media platform such as YouTube or Spotify, for commercial gain or to claim ownership. Should you wish to incorporate our content in such a manner, we kindly request you to reach out to us in order to secure a Developer License for our content.
If the Licensee operates as an AI company, a professional sound library organization, or an app developer for virtual instruments, Kontakt or plugins, and intends to use our original sound effects and ambient recordings for commercial gain or machine learning or AI development, we offer non-exclusive licensing options. This ensures that our sounds can contribute to your project while respecting the rights and value of the original content. Please reach out to us to discuss these options further.
We are committed to transparency and fair use reflected in our flexible licensing agreement. License Agreement for Free Sound Effects
This license agreement applies to all of our free sound effects and free sound libraries available for download on Bandcamp.
Grant of License
After downloading sound effects or sound libraries for free, Free To Use Sounds grants the Licensee (You), a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license laid out in this agreement.
Rights Granted
Licensee can use the free sound effects on an unlimited number of projects for the entirety of their lifetime.
Licensee can use the free sound effects for personal and commercial projects with attribution to Free To Use Sounds in the form of a website link. We recommend using one of the following attributions: "Sound effects obtained from Free To Use Sounds". "Additional sound effects from Free To Use Sounds" or "Sound Effects by Free to Use Sounds"
Licensee can redesign the licensed sound effects and sell them without royalties to Free To Use Sounds but should include a link to the original source or to Free To Use Sounds.
Licensee can use the free sound effects for synchronization for audio and visual projects, including:
Films, television, radio, and documentaries
Commercials
Video games
Podcasts and audio dramas
Applications, including software (No original sounds)
Blogs and websites
School and university projects, especially for audio students
Prisons
Concerts, theater, or even live events (DJs)
Prototype projects (No original sounds)
Royalty-Free for any musical compositions

Liability
Free To Use Sounds makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and quality of our files and content. However, we cannot guarantee that they will be suitable or correct for your specific needs.
Our products are sold according to the specifications provided in the product descriptions, and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they are suitable for their intended use. Therefore, Free To Use Sounds accepts no liability for any damages resulting from the incorrect usage of our products.
Our files and content are intended as a recommendation only and do not replace the specialist qualifications required to work with them. We strongly advise seeking legal and other specialist advice before using any of our products if necessary.
If the customer neglects to do so and damage occurs as a result, Free To Use Sounds will not be liable for those damages.
In the event that you are dissatisfied with our products, you have the right to request a refund within 7 days. We reserve the right to refund and deny access to any dissatisfied customers.
Free To Use Sounds is not liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising from the use of or inability to use any of our products.
We will not be responsible if the content does not fit your specific purpose. We cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from the use of any sound samples licensed from our sites.
Free To Use Sounds cannot be held responsible for any damages or losses, including loss of business or business profits, business interruption, or any other direct or indirect loss resulting from the use of any of the Sound Libraries offered by Free To Use Sounds.
* If your company is interested in our sound recordings but has more than five employees, you have two options:
Purchase our products equivalent to the number of your employees.
Reach out to us to discuss a tailored offer that best suits your organization's needs.
** Modifying our sound recordings for usage should involve significant and creative transformations. This includes redesigning the sounds to create an entirely new sonic character or embedding them within a broader sound design in a way that fundamentally changes their nature. It does not mean performing minor technical adjustments such as leveling, equalizing, downmixing, or upmixing. Simple enhancements or format changes do not qualify as sufficient modifications under our license agreement. If your use case involves such minor alterations, please reach out to us to discuss obtaining a Developer License.
Third Party Offers/Links
Free To Use Sounds may offer the customer links to third-party websites and partner offers, but has no control over their form and content. Therefore, Free To Use Sounds does not assume liability for the correctness, topicality, completeness, legality, and quality of the information provided. Links to other websites are solely for the convenience of portal users. Users who access third-party websites do so at their own risk.
Please note that the royalty-free and license-free terms apply to all recordings that Free To Use Sounds has recorded and may not include third-party sounds that may appear in the background of some recordings. If you download sounds that contain third-party sound effects, you do so at your own risk.
Change of Log License Agreement
We want to inform you that our license agreement has been updated as of June 13, 2023, to improve clarity and address any potential issues. We have made some changes to the wording, fixed grammar issues, and clarified some of the terms for your convenience.
September 27th, 2023: Modified the allowable number of employees under the standard license from unlimited to a maximum of 5. Purchases made before this date are unaffected.
