During our stay at a secluded resort in a hidden valley, we set up our gear by a creek to record the evolving soundscape from night to morning. As darkness settled in, the air filled with the croaks of frogs and the constant hum of insects, creating a rich nocturnal ambience. Cicadas and frogs took center stage, their sounds echoing through the valley.

As dawn approached, the atmosphere slowly transformed. Birds began to stir, their morning calls blending with the gentle flow of the creek. Just as the day fully broke, the distant rumble of the first train from Kandy passed by, adding an unexpected yet natural element to the recording.
