Recording the Sounds of Japanese Sliding Doors and Windows

While traveling through Japan, we stayed in traditional apartments in Kyoto and Hiroshima, where we recorded the unique sounds of sliding doors and windows. From the gentle glide of shōji doors with delicate rice paper panels to the deep, resonant creaks of wooden fusuma and glass sliding windows, this collection provides the subtle textures of Japanese interiors.

Perfect for historical projects, cultural scenes, or ambient soundscapes, these recordings bring an authentic touch to any production.

We have many more sounds from Japan here!
