Embark on a journey to the bustling streets of Tokyo, where the sounds of life and tradition come together in perfect harmony. This sound library is a treasure trove of sounds recorded in 2018 before the pandemic changed the world as we knew it.
As we explored the streets of Asakusa, we stumbled upon the oldest temple in Tokyo and the famous Nakamise shopping street. The street, which is around 250 meters long, is home to over 50 shops selling food and souvenirs.
The hustle and bustle of the crowd was truly unforgettable, with people walking shoulder to shoulder along the street. I recorded the sounds of this vibrant environment using DPAs, and even though I received a few curious stares, the results were worth it.
In addition to the sounds of the people, I also got the sounds of an Omikuji, which are Japanese fortune-telling paper strips. These sounds, which start at minute 3:00 in the recording, are perfect for background sound effects and can be used for both personal and commercial projects.
