As someone who loves audio and field recording, I was super excited to head out to Bear Creek in the Colorado mountains. This place is a slice of paradise with its clear waters and quiet, peaceful vibe.

Armed with my trusty recording gear, like the Wildtronics Parabolic Dish and the Zoom F8n, plus a few others like the Usi Pro and Zoom H6, I set out to record what makes Bear Creek special. I managed to get over 40 recordings that I think really bring the spirit of the creek to life, from the powerful rush of the rapids to the gentle flow of its calmer stretches.

The library I’ve put together is full of variety and not just the water but also the sound of leaves rustling and birds chirping nearby.

This is the first time someone’s made a river creek sound library from Colorado available online, and I’m really excited to share it with fellow audio enthusiasts. Creating it was an amazing experience, and I hope it brings joy to others who love nature sounds as much as I do.
