As we settled into our room at the Motel 6 in Cedar City, Utah, I couldn’t help but notice the constant sound of the ice machine in the hallway. Guests were constantly stopping by to refill their plastic coolers and metal travel bottles with ice, creating a soothing yet ever-present background noise.

As a sound enthusiast, I immediately recognized the potential of these sounds for use in various projects. Whether it be for personal or commercial use, the sound of crushing ice is versatile and can add a unique touch to any project.

I knew I had to record these sounds before leaving the next morning. With the good old Zoom H6 and a mono microphone in hand, I left the room to record the ice machine in action. The resulting sound library includes a variety of crushing ice sounds, including the dispensing of ice into metal travel bottles and plastic coolers.

We hope that these crushing ice sound effects will be exactly what you need for your next project.
