Explore the captivating world of rural historical sites. We went to the ancient city of Ephesus, nestled in present-day Turkey near Selçuk. This well-preserved Greek and Roman city, renowned for its historical and architectural significance, served as the backdrop for our adventure.
Step back in time with us as we journeyed to the grand Theater of Ephesus and Library of Celsus, where we recorded the contemporary sounds of the present day, including the soothing chirping of birds, the distant echoes of barking dogs, the gentle bleating of sheep, and hammering.
But our auditory exploration didn’t stop there; we delved into the mystical realm of the Lycian Rock Tombs, also known as Lycian burial monuments. These awe-inspiring ancient tombs, intricately carved into the natural rock formations of southwestern Turkey’s Lycian region, provided the perfect backdrop for recording the ambient sounds of chirping birds, gentle winds, and distant rooster calls.
