Embark on an auditory journey with our Camino Frances Church Bell Sound Library. From the quaint streets of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago, experience the vibrant sounds of pilgrimage.

Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is a town located in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in southwestern France. It was my starting point to walk the Camino de Santiago, a famous pilgrimage route that led me on a 28-day journey to the city of Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain.

Before I embarked on my journey from the starting point of Saint Jean Pied de Port in the early morning, I arrived two days earlier to have a good rest and was fortunate enough to record the sounds of the local church bells from my hotel balcony.

These recordings were recorded at different times of the day, offering a unique perspective of the church’s presence in the city.

But that’s not all, I’ve also included a variety of other sounds that I encountered along the way – from the tranquil rush of rivers to bustling city sounds like ambulances and motorcycles passing by, and even the rustic sounds of gardening with a chainsaw. All sound recordings are recorded with high-quality field recording gear like the Schoeps CCM 4, CCM8, and Sound Devices Mix Pre 6ii.

This library was just the beginning of my sound recordings adventure along the Camino Frances and you can find all recordings inside our Camino Frances Sound Library.
