During mating season in February, we waited for hours to record the sounds of the swifts as they entered the main cave for the night. As the sun set and the swifts appeared, we were in awe of the speed and grace with which they flew into the cave.
The next morning, we were the only ones in the cave and were able to record the unique ambience as we explored the cave by foot and on a bamboo boat ride.
The excitement reached a climax as we approached the exit and the bats began to click and scream louder and louder.
