Hi Guys! In this Blog Post, I present you another Sound from my Series LA City Sounds ( I have way more to come)!
My German Passport had no pages anymore and before we could fly to Vietnam we had to drive all the way from Orange County up to Beverly Hills because the German Consulate is in this Area to drop off my Passport! Shout Out to the German Consulate! My new Passport arrived in less than seven days! That was incredibly fast plus both security Guys are super fun and nice!
Anyway, after that, Libby told me that there is a great Ethiopian Restaurant in Little Ethiopia on Fairfax. So went there and drove around the area and I already listen to this hammering sound. Then after a few seconds later, I saw these men working and how they tearing down a wall from this one part of the house with a drill hammer.
Another cool sound is when one of the Guys used the shovel and slammed the bricks into the big trashcan. This recording was so much and it shows you also how I get my sounds while roaming around the town! I am not afraid of asking people if I can record them or the sound that they create. I always do this with a smile and be always friendly.
About the recordings!
I parked the car and we walked straight to them as you can see in the video what Libby did!
I placed my Recorder on the street and recorded with the Pistol Grip and I asked friendly if its possible that we can record the sound. After the recording, I asked the workers it this is okay with the camera and everybody was super friendly and said yes that is okay.
The exact location where I did the recordings!
If you watch the video you actually listen to both recordings. The Stereo and the Mono. I mixed them together in Adobe Audition and gave them a little bit more Amplitude. So you can have this Version as well.
I also give you both recordings. The Mono from the Rode and the Stereo from Zoom H6.
Theses Soundfiles are Original Files so you can play around with them.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
