One of the most memorable moments of my life was when we were invited to a private tea room in Penang, Malaysia. It was a beautiful warm night outside of Georgetown and spent hours sipping on ancient tea. Some of the tea was so valuable and rare that they were used for bartering labor when the room was being furnished and constructed. After our tea experience in Malaysia, I’ve been drawn to tea.
After our tea experience in Malaysia, I’ve been drawn to tea. There is something therapeutic and grounding when I’m surrounded by this tradition. It’s no wonder why tea drinking is a form of meditation in the East.
For this video, my intention is to immerse you in the beautiful sounds and imagery tea cups and pot. I’ll be presenting over 25 tea drinking items from Japan and China. Many are handcrafted and unique. So let’s take a seat on the table and fill them all up with hot water.
